fall...

As summer disappeared in late August it became more and more shocking watching Ella grow. She just started pulling herself up on everything and babbling all the time. Luckily, this is how I communicate also so we were able to create quite a bond. You'll see that bond a few pictures down when I entrust Ella with my dental work. Here you see Ella's fascination with falling leaves. She would often interrupt her play time so she could stand at the door and watch the leaves blow around on the ground. I think she's gonna love the fall just like her daddy.
Apple picking! The Jones family (minus a few) were kind enough to invite Sara and Ella to go apple picking. I was actually jealous of this because one of my favorite childhood memories is going to an apple farm in elementary school and then making apple butter in the classroom. The smell of the wet leaves mixed with the demolition of apples into sauce, juice, and cider always gets me feeling nostalgic.

This picture expresses the Deel family in the fall. Excited about life! Here, Ella is saying "yeeaaahhhh!"

Well, I thought it was the season that had her pumped. In this pic above you'll see one of her many new toys from this fall. A fun table that sings and lights up as you play with it. I was told it is great for a baby's development. I'm a sucker for anything that is beneficial for Ella's "development." The clutter of our home will attest to that.

Things were pretty hectic this fall for our family. Sara and I rarely had the same day off together so when we did, we headed for the mountains. Just simple drives that allowed for a good nap for Ella and some much needed catching up for Sara and I. Above are pictures from one of our outings. We discovered that Ella has a passion for dentistry and that she enjoys a good ole fashioned cook out just like mommy and daddy.

catching up...finally!

Not really sure how it happened, but suddenly almost six months have past and the blog has been terribly neglected! so here we are, January 2010. Hard to believe! Before we get to the present, I'm going to recap the last half of the year over several posts.

This summer was sure to be fun with Ella's first chance to jump into a pool! When I say jump what I really mean is reluctantly humor daddy by floating around in a her floaty frog thing. These few pictures show that after a little time she actually started to enjoy the pool and the chill mode that accompanies it.

Ella also found out that summer time mean she gets to wear lots of pretty dresses and sometimes just her diaper if she feels like it. Thanks to Aunt Heather she also gets to wear pretty headbands too.

Ella changed so much this summer that it's hard to remember what all happened. Below, Ella went to her first "tea" with Sara's long time best friend Stephanie. As you can see, it was a delightful experience.

I know it's just a blip but stay tuned; there is much to share.
